Ok, here's the story from the beginning... First, "Peg" comes from Peg Bundy of the TV show Married With Children. The origin of Peg in poker circles dates back many years to the early days of irc poker. Back then, JZK, I, and many others from this list 'lived' on the irc poker server. Much of the poker chatspeak, acronyms, and other weird stuff originated there as we clearly, lacking lives, had way too much time on our hands. In the case of 'Peg', as Kim recently mentioned on this list, JZK's first wife was the first 'Peg'. It became a nightly occurrence on irc for JZK to 'tap' on her. Since JZK also has a son and daughter from his first marriage, I, being a big Married With Children fan, started referring to his family as the Bundys. In particular, I started referring to his wife as 'Peg'. And it caught on --- big time I guess --- as it's now a common term in these poker circles. We used 'Kelly' and 'Bud' to refer to his kids, but only 'Peg' really stuck. And that's basically the story... (sagerbot of irc days)
